The Medicinewheel - 4 Elementals Elixirs to work with in Ceremony

4 ELEMENTALS:

This is a series of elixirs ultimatly to be used through out a year to gather knowledge of the nature of life which may be perceived through the observation of the rythms of Nature.

                                         As above so below. As within so without.

This can be seen and experienced  simultaneously on a microcosmical as well as on a macrocosmical level in the life of plants, people or animals for example as well as the cycle of the seasons or the cycle of life (birth, death, rebirth). "The Great Everything" or Universe and one's own personal space or personal universe is intertwined in a greater weave of life. Initiatic medicine is when the vital force that is inherent in Nature itself, and the personal power within oneself which can enable one to become more whole or complete , merging and living in an organic unity. Through the spagyric process in which the elixirs have been prepared, separated into the philosophical principles of salt, sulphur and mercury , the body, soul and spirit of the plants , worked on separately and then recombined again to facilate a spiritual evolution to takes place within the person ingesting the spagyric , recreating the consciously assisted evolutionary life cycle of the plants. Revealing the secrets and virtues of the plants.

A suggestion is to take the elixirs seasonally, at the moment the element´s expression is at it´s peak facing the direction.

The transformation the plants have gone through takes place within the person ingesting the elixir.

Ginkgo Biloba Spagyric Elixir

Making a new batch of Ginkgo Biloba spagyric tincture.
The leaves can be harvested in the summer months when they are green but are most medicinally potent in the fall season, just after they start to turn a yellow-gold color. According to Christopher Hobbs, in his book, "Ginkgo, Elixir of Youth", the best time to pick the leaves for highest concentration of flavonoid content is after the leaves turn yellow. The best time for highest ginkgolides and bilobalide content is in late summer just before the leaves begin to turn color.
I make alcohol tinctures of the leaves using them in both of these stages as the beginning of a spagyric tincture.

Ginkgo improves circulation, ameliorating the delivery of some nutrients that are needed; as well as, life giving oxygen to every cell including those of the brain. I was calcinating Ashwagandha at the moment of full moon in Taurus , at sunrise. This is the first step in creating the mineral salt from the ashwagandha that has been macerating in alchohol for 40 days. Calcinating through fire and purified through water. Ashwagandha is a solar herb, lightening the inner sun.
It is one of my favorite herbs and I have seen it´s benefits in "burned-out" people. It works fast and it is truly a powerful and magical herb.

I also make a formula "Light in the Dark" that is good for "winterdepression" . Here I use Szechuan pepper as a driver and St Johns Wort and Skullcap in combination with Ashwagandha as a powerful combination. A merging of Chinese, Indian and Western herbalism.

Herbal distillates, also called floral water, hydrosol, hydrolate, herbal water and essential water, are aqueous products of distillation. They are colloidal suspensions (hydrosol) of essential oils as well as water-soluble components obtained by steam distillation from plants/herbs. These herbal distillates have uses as medicine , flavorings, and cosmetics (skin care).

Herbal distillates are produced in the same manner as essential oils. However, the essential oil will float to the top of the distillate where it is removed, leaving behind the watery distillate. For this reason perhaps the term essential water is more descript. In the past, these essential waters were often considered a byproduct of distillation, but now are considered an important co-product.

The science of distillation is based on the fact that different substances vaporize at different temperatures. Unlike other extraction techniques based on solubility of a compound in either water or oil, distillation will separate components regardless of their solubility. The distillate will contain compounds that vaporize at or below the temperature of distillation. The actual chemical components of distillates have not yet been fully identified, but distillates will contain essential oil compounds as well as organic acids and other water-soluble plant components. Compounds with a higher vaporization point will remain behind and will include many of the water-soluble plant pigments and flavonoids.

Herbal waters contain diluted essential oils. Besides aromatic chemicals, these distillates also contain many more of the plant acids than pure essential oils making them skin friendly.

Nettle are found in waste places and woods throughout the world. They are recognized – even in the dark, as Culpeper notes- by the sting they produce on contact.
Nettle is an excellent ally when you need strong energetic borders around you.

And just as the red planet and the blood, it is full of iron. It builds and purifies the blood,it is alcalizing, full of nutrients, many other minerals and chlorofyll.

Stinging and burning it cools and act as an anti inflammatory.
The elixir is very good to take for healing burns faster and release the heat.

Nettleleaves are full of little formic acid crystals that look like needles. Interesting enough the calcinated saltcrystals that are in the elixir look exactly like these acidcrystals, like small spears. They were orange as well, full of iron.

Nettle like to grow downstream from a septic system or other soil that has been contaminated/enriched with nitrates and uric acid and waste products. It uses these byproducts of protein to build up the high degree of protein found in the plant. It removes uric acid waste products from the system, by using protein building-blocks and not allowing them to pass uselessly into the general economy of the system. Nettle is a remedy that gets the job done. It works with complicated protein building-blocks to build some of the most complex molecules used by the body.It is a highly nutrituous food which supplies these materials , but it also supplies the Know-How, the INTENSITY to use them. Here I see a correspondance to Aries in the zodiac, the sparky initiator , full of intensity, ready to initiate a new idea head-first. Nettle is also cooling hot, angry frustration, cooling the mind.

Nettle is a great protector against inflammation but also on an energetic level it is acting as a guard of ones integrity. It is good to call on Nettle when one feels invaded.
I have had very good experiences using the nettle spagyric tincture against seasonal allergy, hayfever and it has worked well for others that tried it too.
